Milwaukee, Wisconsin 3 contributions 1 helpful vote. Absolutely Spectacular. We just got back from a weeks stay at Isla Palenque. Hard to put into words how special this place really is. First and foremost is the staff. But I also have to point out the rest of the staff that you don't see from housekeeping, kitchen and the maintenance.

They truly take pride in their job, the resort and the guests. Their service is impeccable and made this vacation one of a kind. Since we were there a week, it gave us the opportunity to take advantage of all the activities. Amazing island hikes, tide pool exploration, beach picnics, fishing, paddleboards, kayaks, cocktail making, dance and cooking classes.

All of which are optional and included in the price, but I definitely recommend. Plenty of time for relaxation. Very easy to get lost in the beauty of the Island surrounded by lush tropical plants while sipping on hand made cocktails and listening to the tide come in. The food was extraordinary.

Can't say enough how impressed were were each day with the choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is fresh and prepared perfectly. You wont go away hungry or disappointed. The chef also made my wife a birthday cake which went above and beyond our expectations.

We stayed in casita 1. There are 8 of them all located on the beach and identical. Each one has an entrance through the beach or a path behind them. They are air conditioned, comfortable and very private which we particularly liked. Not to mention the beach is just steps away. This is not a roughing it type of vacation. All the amenities we have come to appreciate combined with an eco friendly and sustainable concept resort.

Every review and picture we saw prior to the trip are true. You won't be disappointed. Date of stay: October Rooms. Helpful Share. Eventually, he put both his background and love for nature to use by creating this private island resort, dedicated to the principles of sustainable luxury. There are just eight beachfront casitas and one Villa Estate on the acre island, so privacy is a given. Each of the square-foot casitas has direct beach access, an outdoor tub, organic bath products, daybeds and hammocks, artisan-made furnishings, and a mini-bar stocked with local juices, snacks, and beers.

Meals are full of fresh, sustainably sourced ingredients and vibrant Panamanian flavors; rates include three meals a day, along with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
