I understand that working on Blue Bloods must be a full-time effort, and I absolutely do not want it to end, you know? On the other hand, I am anxiously awaiting a 10th Jesse Stone movie! The delay may also have something to do with the location. LOTS of film producers had to pick up and leave and find other locations; oh, and took their money with them. By the way, I know about the Halifax decision because one of the actors on several of the 9 movies is a friend who lives in Halifax!
Just in case anyone doubts what I wrote. The beautiful location of Halifax, Nova Scotia provided a breathtaking backdrop for all of the nine films. Perhaps since that location is no longer an option, they could actually film in MA. Additionally, it makes sense in that the fictional town of Paradise was actually located in the state of MA.
After a bit of research, I discovered that Paradise was actually based upon the city of Gloucester! I hate to really mention this but, maybe they could replace Selleck with someone who has more time, and could do a really good imitation of Tom.
Then continue on with the series. I really liked the series but, I am kinda over it now that it has been so long. Replace Selleck??? Are you crazy? Being a new englander I miss his genuine take on life there is hope somewhere and we are hoping Jesse i mean Tom finds it peace. You are commenting using your WordPress. Those who read detective novels will know that Jesse Stone is the lead player in a long-running series of crime stories.

That follow-up arrived in in the shape of Night Passage. A fourth film followed in , with a fifth arriving in , a sixth in , a seventh in , and an eighth in After eight films — all with Selleck in the lead role — CBS called time on the series.
But not because Jesse Stone had fallen out of favour with viewers, but because the network was moving its programming in a new direction. Keen not to see a good run of films go to waste, Hallmark then picked up the Jess Stone series for a ninth entry.
The movie — Lost in Paradise — aired in Although the Jesse Stone movie series largely plays out in chronological order, there is a slight timeline anomaly: Jesse Stone: Night Passage. As noted above, Night Passage was the second movie to be released, but chronologically it is the first in the series.
